Electrical Controls Engineer is to increase company sales with
design, development and overseeing all aspects of electrical
control systems, equipment, and machinery. They possess knowledge
of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within
electrical systems.As an Electrical Controls Engineer your duties
would be:
- Develop electrical control panel design, schematics, and 2D
layout drawings in AutoCAD Electrical
- Interpret mechanical & hydraulic design drawings for electrical
requirements
- Work with outside sales team to develop detailed quotes and
proposals on new opportunities.
- Research supplier products for assembly components and manage
relationships with vendors
- Develop bill of materials
- Troubleshooting, and field testing
- Creation of submittals, training instructions, and O&M
Manuals
- Review of project specifications to assure compliance with
customer requirements
- Familiarity with loading PLC programs (i.e., Siemens, Allen
Bradley, and or IDEC) and testing basic machine functionality.
- Project management and coordinate cross-functional projectsWe
are looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer with the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related
field.
- 5+ years of Industrial Controls design
- Extensive knowledge of Industrial Controls
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Able to program PLCs, HMIs, Controllers, and VFDs
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Understanding of UL508A and NFPA 79
- Excellent documentation, written and oral communication
skills
- Able to work independently or in a team environment
- Problem Solving skills required
- Ability to interface with panel shop technicians and provide
shop support as needed.
