Overview
As a cook, you don't just prepare food, you create a memorable
experience for others. Whether you're cooking for patients,
cafeteria guests or catered events, you help to make life better

Responsibilities
Creates and prepares cafeteria, patient, and catered food items.
Utilizes a variety of food and cooking styles to produce healthy
food options for patients and hospital guests. Records over and
under on production sheets, as well as temperatures of
refrigerators and freezers. Follows established guidelines for safe
food handling, storage and preparation techniques. Knowledgeable in
various food preparation skills to create and develop recipes.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2 years working in a high volume, full-service
restaurant, hotel or convention center food service facility.
Completion of a culinary arts program may be substituted for part
of this requirement. At least one year experience cooking
breakfast, lunches, and dinners as a line cook in a high volume
location required. Minimum 2 years experience working from scratch
recipes and experience prepping and portioning items needed in the
production process. Solid working knowledge of various cooking
techniques and processes and the ability to apply these methods in
a kitchen. One year experience using food production software
preferred. One year experience in a leadership capacity, i.e.,
production lead or expeditor in a full service restaurant or large
institutional food service facility preferred. Skills:Ability to
read, speak, and fully comprehend English. Perform math skills in
order to convert recipes to scale. Ability to follow exacting
recipes and standards. Ability to relate to others with courtesy
and tact under normal as well as stressful conditions. LEGACY'S
