Tab by Clicking HereSummary: The SafeChoice Director of Housing
Services is responsible for managing all SafeChoice housing
programs, including motel vouchers, eviction prevention or
diversion, rapid re-housing, and transitional housing initiatives.
This role collaborates with the Director of Shelter Services to
oversee the 24-hour hotline and drives the strategic implementation
of trauma-informed, survivor-centered programming. The position
typically works Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with
the option for up to eight hours of remote work each week. The
Director provides leadership in alignment with agency values,
supports direct service staff, models healthy self-care, and
ensures effective oversight of data management, program reporting,
and housing program budgets, while occasionally stepping in to
provide direct services as needed.MissionGain approval for, track,

leadership and direction to program staff, ensuring YWCA's
commitment to racial and gender justice is embedded in program
decisions and operations.Think through the lens of racial equity
and its intersections with poverty. Use the core principles of
anti-racism and grounding those principles in all daily
tasks.Program management and supervision Monitor and track expenses
related to shelter services and operations. Establish and maintain
policies and procedures that meet the requirements of applicable
contracts, grants, and state and federal laws. Identify and report
on health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and
property damage and comply with workplace policies and procedures
for risk management and workplace health and safety. Ensure that
all direct reports comply with YWCA and grant/contract required
domestic violence training, service provision, and reporting.
Develop a shelter training plan for SafeChoice staff, volunteers
and interns. Facilitate team meetings, debriefings, and individual
staff check-ins with all direct reports. Act as a liaison with
community partners, with an emphasis on other DV providers, and
housing providers. Provide information to local social service
agencies regarding SafeChoice housing programs and statistics.
Collaborate with other SafeChoice or agency Directors as needed.
Manage additional projects in relation to housing services. Work
closely with the Vice President of Domestic Violence Services to
ensure housing services are accessible and supportive for
survivors. Maintain compliance with local and internal regulations
such as Washington Administrative Code, and confidentiality laws,
mandatory reporting, and others as applicable. Ensure tracking and
recording statistics through Infonet, Empower DB or other databases
as required.Attend and actively participate in organization and
community meetings, as appropriate. Have valid driver's license,
safe driving record and able to operate a vehicle Meet annual
program training requirements. Provide additional support for
SafeChoice services as needed. Work closely with the Vice President
of Domestic Violence Services to manage the SafeChoice housing
budgets, involving multiple funding streams including: City,
County, State, and Federal contracts, foundation grants, and donor
support.Ensure all related HUD, VAWA, HMIS or other requirements,
privacy, and confidentiality policies are followed to ensure the
safety of participants.Ensure programs follow best practice models
based on the Clark County Homeless Crisis Response System (HCRS),
Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office on Violence Against
Women (OVW) and others as applicable. Related education: Bachelor's
degree in a related field or position equivalent experience in
addition to the experience requirements listed below.Related
experience:Two years of experience working with rental subsidy
programs.Two years of experience providing advocacy to
survivors/victim services within a domestic violence program.One
year of experience providing effective coaching, guidance,
leadership, supervision to staff and/or volunteers.Minimum of fifty
hours of training on domestic violence issues and advocacy within
the last three years.General RequirementsComplete and pass a
background check;Complete the training requirements, pursuant to
WAC 388-61A-1085;Strong ability to lead: supervisors make sure the
day-to-day work gets done; leaders do so while strategically
motivating staff and volunteers to improve performance and further
the mission of the organization. Ability to work in a team: modify
the way a challenge is resolved if it is in the best interest of
the organization and participants to do so.Strong project
management skills: maintain a strategic focus while simultaneously
managing multiple projects, deadlines, goals, and program
needs.Strong problem-solving skills: resourceful and able to
resolve challenges while knowing when it's time to stop and ask
questions or seek additional guidance.Strong technological skills:
effectively use common software programs (like MS Office, Excel,
and PowerPoint) to fulfill position related expectations.Strong
soft-skills: adapt work and communication style to mitigate
unnecessary tension, improve efficiency, increase morale, and make
