The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Front End / Web Performance Engineer to join our team. You will have extensive experience in headless CMS architecture, Content Delivery Networks (CDN), and front-end optimization. You will focus on ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of our digital platforms while delivering exceptional user experiences. You will report to the Digital Engineering Manager.

The Day-to-Day:

• Develop scalable, modular, and reusable front-end components using React (Next.js) and TypeScript
• Implement server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) to improve site speed and SEO
• Integrate and optimize headless CMS platforms (SitecoreXM or equivalent) for dynamic content management
• Collaborate with backend teams to ensure seamless API integration (REST/GraphQL) for structured content delivery
• Improve front-end load times, rendering efficiency, and page responsiveness using modern performance optimization techniques
• Implement lazy loading, asset bundling, and caching strategies to reduce network requests and improve site performance
• Conduct Lighthouse, WebPageTest, and Core Web Vitals audits to identify and resolve performance issues
• Optimize image loading, font rendering, and third-party script execution to enhance the user experience
• Develop mobile-first, responsive, and accessible user interfaces, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 and ADA standards
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to refine animations, micro-interactions, and overall user experience
• Implement SEO and metadata best practices to improve site discoverability.
  Your Qualifications:
  
  
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing front-end applications for large-scale, content-driven platforms
  • Expertise in React (Next.js), TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and CSS frameworks (TailwindCSS, Styled Components, Material UI, Chakra UI)
  • Strong experience integrating headless CMS platforms (SitecoreXM or equivalent)
  • In-depth understanding of SSR, SSG, hydration strategies, and frontend caching mechanisms
  • Experience optimizing web performance using CDN-based caching (Cloudflare, Akamai, CloudFront)
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and RESTful APIs for structured content integration
  • Proficiency in frontend security best practices, including OAuth 2.0, JWT authentication, and CORS policies
  • Experience with CI/CD automation, GitHub Actions, and frontend testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright)
  • Experience working with multi-language, multi-region CMS architectures
  • Familiarity with Sitecore JSS or other headless CMS frameworks
  • Strong experience in SEO best practices, metadata management, and structured data (JSON-LD, Schema.org)
  • Background in A/B testing frameworks and personalization strategies for content optimization
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    • Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG)
    • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards (WCAG)
    • Familiarity with edge computing and serverless architecture
      Compensation:
      
      • $140,000 - $170,000 base salary per year in the state of WA - New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
      • Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
